7/13/09 -- Arrival in Paris, Sketching, Shopping, Boat Tour

Today was a really good, relaxing day. We got to Paris at about 8:30 in the morning. We got on a bus at the station and got dropped off at our hotel. It's not as bad as the hotel in Florence, but it does not even compare to the one in Venice. But it will do. Darrin gave us about 20 minutes to freshen up and then we were heading out to sketch. We walked to the Eiffel Tower and sat at a park across from it. We did a 20 minute sketch and then played a game and did a 3 minute, a 1 minute, and a 30 second sketch. Ha mine turned out pretty hilarious. After we finished up sketching we got the rest of the day off. So I came back to the hotel and tried to get a little sleep and then did some laundry. At about 4:00 Julia and I went out with a couple other girls. We went shopping and grabbed some dinner. I ended up eating this strange Lebanese food. It was really good at the moment, but made me so sick later. I have decided I just need to stick to the simple foods.
