Today started out with Megan coming into our room at about 10 asking if we wanted to go with her and some other people to try to get tickets to Billy Elliott. We got to Leicester and they said that the tickets were all sold out. So we decided to head over to Victoria station to try to get wicked tickets. We got there and we were able to get tickets or Wicked that night for 45 pounds. Which I thought was a really good deal because in Salt Lake they were over 100 dollars. We headed straight back home after this to plan the rest of the day.
After we got back Julia and I ran through Hyde Park. Hyde Park is so beautiful. It's so fun to run through every morning. Julia is also such a good person to run with. We're both super competitive so we keep eachother going. I like to run becuase it stretches out all of my muscles that get so cramped up from walking. And we live so close to Hyde Park it makes things really nice.
We got back to the flat at about noon and we showered and got ready. We were going to go spend a couple hours at the Imperial War Museum. I loved this place. It was a museum full of WWII things. We spent an hour in the Holocaust section. It was really really sad. Every time I go museums like that though I always learn something new. After that section we went and looked at all the old planes and submarines. My favorite section of this museum was the children's war section. I talked about the children that had to be evacuated from London during the blitz. It told their stories, it was all really sad, but I had never heard about what had happened to all of those children because it's kind of Britain history. We left the museum about 5:30 to get home to get ready for Wicked.
We got back to the flat and quickly made dinner. We got to the theatre about twenty minutes before the show started and headed toward are seats. We were in the Grand Circle on the front row right in the center. We had a really great view of the show. WICKED is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! I absolutely loved it. I had chills running up and down my arms the entire time. It was such a fun night!
