We woke up at about 10 and went and ran Hyde Park again. Afterward we showered and got ready and headed to Portobello Road. Portobello Road is very famous and is in lots of movies. It houses the little bookshop from Notting Hill and there is a song about it in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Saturdays they have an open end market with loads of antiques and other fantastic odds and ends. They had pretty tea sets and old clocks and stuff. My mom would have loved it all. We walked down the road and I found the little bookshop from Notting Hill and got a picture. We stopped in lots of little stores on the way and I was able to find some really cute clothes and shoes! We had such a blast.
After the market we headed to the Globe theatre because Ashley and I wanted to get tickets to As You Like It. It took us forever to get there and when we got there they were all sold out of tickets until next Monday! It was insane, but we were able to get standing tickets for 5 pounds. Standing is going to be extremely miserable, but it's all apart of the experience! ha ha. Anyway after the Globe, Julia and I walked all the way to the Tower of London. It was a really long walk almost compareable to the walk to Notre Dame, almost. Anyway we only had a few hours to spend in the Tower because it was going to close soon! We were able to see the crown jewels, which were beautiful, and we also got to see the armor of King Henry VIII which was really cool. My favorite part in the Tower of London was the Bloody Tower. It told the story of the two princes that were murdered by either Richard III or Henry VII it's still a big mystery, but it was a way cool story. They even let us vote on who we thought murdered the princes, my vote was totally on Henry VII he had way more of a motive.
So earlier that morning a bunch of the girls had gotten up early to get Billy Elliott tickets. Julia and I were too tired to get up, which we totally regretted later because we really wanted to see it. But we met up with Kylee and Megan at the Tower and they said they would come with us to the theatre to see if there were any seats left. We got to the theatre and they just happened to have two restricted view tickets left. Restricted viewtickets mean you miss part of the stage based on where you are sitting so they are a little cheaper. We took the tickets and we got to go to the show! I was so excited. The show was amazing! And I didn't even find our restricted view restricted at all. Billy Elliott has some of the greatest dancing I have ever seen. This little 12 year old boy can do some amazing things. I loved it!! After the show we took pictures outside of the theatre and then just headed home to go to bed.
