The patterns in order from top to bottom: V&A Museum, British Museum, and Tate Modern.

This was my inspiration for my first pattern from the V&A Museum. It was a tapestry on a wall in the European history area. This museum was full of all sorts of different kinds of things. I really enjoyed the European history floor because that's kind of what we're studying and surrounded by right now. I figured picking something from this floor depicted what I'm doing right now best. Inside the tapestry there is a devil figure that has a crown upon his head. I took this crown and abstracted it to create what you see in my pattern now.

This is the picture of my inspiration for the second pattern from the British museum. It is a shield from the Egyptian time period. If you can look closely at my pattern it's all tiny circular shapes that form a shield in your mind. I placed them all in a circular formation too so that the collaboration of the form itself creates a shield shape.

This is my inspiration for my last pattern from Tate Modern. The painting is called "Cossacks" and is by Kandinsky. I really liked a lot of his work. This painting especially was a favorite because of the way that Kandinsky uses his lines. That's why when I was creating a pattern from this painting I chose the lines, and just joined them together to form a repeated pattern.
