So... after the parade Julia and I left Nancy and Courtney and headed for Notre Dame. We looked at the map and from where we were at it didn't look that far. We started walking and the cathedral just seemed to get farther and farther away. We were both so tired and onry we didn't talk the entire walk there. ha ha. We had to stop a couple of times to go to the bathroom. It is impossible to find a public bathroom anywhere in Europe! We finally got the courage to ask a restaurant owner. I tried to practice some of my junior high french.. such as "bonjour monsieur, toilette?" ha ha ha. They always answer in English. Luckily the restaurant owner had a bathroom upstairs. When we got out of the bathroom there was a whole line of American girls behind us. I guess they had the same idea we did.
After the bathroom we stopped for a crepe. It was really gross too. The one we had in Venice had been way better! I was very dissappointed too because France is suppossed to be known for crepes.. but whatever. Anyway we finally made it to Notre Dame after 2 hours of walking. We sood in line for about twenty minutes and then were led into the cathedral. It was so cool! The Rose Window was my favorite part. The one thing I hate about all of the Catholic cathedrals is how dark they are. They are scarier then they are religious.
